News reports claim that America Online routinely erases messages posted to its forums in Spanish and Portugese. Who would have assumed that the America that’s online would prove to be a free country anyway?

What’s startling is not the sentiment but THE EASE WITH WHICH RACE AND CLASS CAN BE ERASED ONLINE. The Invisible Man is back in style and easier to ignore than ever. In fact, any Invisible Man can be DELETED, ERASED, ANNIHILATED at will by the powerful sysops that be.
